This contribution to Blog Action Day, the Blog Action Day topic for 2009 is a guest blog, cross-posted from the website of Aloha International. The author is Serge Kahili King, a Hawaiian Huna master who has been teaching around the world for decades. (Including his process called Dynamind.)
This is the best advice I've ever seen about how to deal with the anguish, the hopelessness, the emotional challenge posed by the whole issue of climate change.
It boils down to the Serenity Prayer, though he doesn't cite that:
God grant me the power to change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't change, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Yet, and yet, remember the power of intention. We can do through our Oneness, energetically through intention, far far more than we can "do" with our bodies in the world. Giving lots of attention and positive emotional energy to the kind of Earth we want, and not much emotional energy and attention to the kind of world we DON'T want, helps more than we can imagine. King's take on how to do that, which is one of the best I've ever run across, is summarized in the free and downloadable (or snail-mail-able) booklet whose picture I have included here above http://huna.org/html/aspirit.html
Here is his article titled Climate Change from the site's "Library Hut:: http://huna.org/html/climate.html
Here is the page of all the resources from the website http://huna.org/html/teaching.html
I have not personally studied or been involved with King's teachings, but have dipped into them through the years, finding them of good quality.
May the article bring you into more peace as well as more empowerment, with respect to climate change.

Help

Thank you OM for the wonderful advice “God grant me the power to change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't change, and the wisdom to know the difference.” Our intention of Love can move mountains and change the world…
Oh, and thank you Asteri for stopping by and leaving your impression. I agree, there are very few things we can't change, through that power of Love. Maybe nothing, depending on how you look at it. Anyway, we can change a lot more than we usually believe we can !!
